Our Mission
For the last several years, Lungs&You® has served
as a comprehensive and helpful resource for people living with idiopathic pulmonary
fibrosis (IPF), a common type of interstitial lung disease (ILD). Recently, we
broadened the site to include information about many types of ILD that progress, or
get worse over time, while maintaining our extensive support for those with IPF.
Today, we’ve made it our mission to:
Educate
We aim to help those impacted by ILD understand the disease and how it may progress over time so they can spot early indications of ILD and make informed decisions about their health.
Empower
We want to help those diagnosed with ILD take an active role in their care by learning about the disease, how it may progress, their management options, and how to advocate for their health.
Support
We know ILD impacts more than just physical health. We want to help provide the emotional and practical support needed to overcome the challenges of living with ILD.
Advocate
Through our partnerships with ILD advocates like Bernie Williams, we aim to raise awareness of this little-known disease.
